How to download Fortnite on iPhone and Android

Updated

Start on Fortnite's official mobile page and choose your device. It links the current iOS, Android and cloud-gaming routes. Store availability and device compatibility vary, so use that page instead of an old APK mirror or an outdated country list.

Choose the official download for your device

Open Fortnite's mobile page on the phone or tablet you intend to use. Select Apple or Android and follow the store link provided by Epic. Confirm the publisher before installing, and leave room for the additional game files shown by the installer.

  • iPhone or iPad: use the Apple route displayed for your region.
  • Android: Epic lists its own store and Google Play routes; follow the one available on your device.
  • An unsupported device: compare the cloud providers listed on the same official page.

Native installation or cloud gaming?

A native installation stores game files on your device and relies on its hardware. Cloud gaming streams a remote game session, so connection quality and provider availability matter instead. It is not an offline version or a tiny alternative Fortnite installer.

Our Xbox Cloud Gaming walkthrough explains the browser route. To keep progress across devices, use the same Epic account.

Why an installation may not be available

A store listing can depend on your location, operating-system version and hardware. Follow Epic's current compatibility guidance rather than assuming that another player's phone or country has the same options. Download sizes change with updates, so check the installer's current storage estimate.
