Fortnite Map Fragments: locations, rewards and schedule
Updated
One new fragment arrives with each Captain. Here is how to collect them, where the first one is and which details are still unconfirmed.

How Map Fragments work
Map Fragments are collectibles in the Treasure Hunters mini-season. Guides describe one new fragment arriving each week, tied to that week's Captain. The in-game news points players to the Treasure Tab to follow weekly progress, so check that tab first to see what is live for you.
Reports say they are free and not tied to the Battle Pass.
Fragment 1: The $.$. Rocky
The first fragment is inside A$AP Rocky's ship, The $.$. Rocky, marked on the map above. Guides agree on these steps:
- Land on or near the ship.
- Head down to the lower decks. If you cannot find the stairs, break the floor beneath you with your pickaxe.
- Follow the small white diamond icon with an exclamation point. If it seems to point through the floor, you are still too high.
- Walk up to the glowing piece, near a crate on the lower level, and hold the button for the Gather the map fragment prompt.
Later fragments and dates
Older guides list Saturday dates, but Epic moved Captain's Day to Sundays on November 4, starting with November 8 at 9 AM ET. Later dates below follow that pattern and are expected, not confirmed. We add a location only once we can source it:
- Fragment 2, November 8: Lil Uzi Vert is the reported Captain. Location not confirmed yet.
- Fragment 3, expected November 15: Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto are listed. Location not confirmed.
- Fragment 4, expected November 22: Oscar is the reported Captain. Location not confirmed.
- Fragment 5, expected November 29: Buccaneer Brigand Jones is the reported Captain. Location not confirmed.
- Any further fragment: no reliable details yet.
How many fragments are there?
Sources disagree. Beebom and TechWiser say six, while Destructoid says seven, and we have not found an Epic post that states the number. Treat six as the likely count and check the Treasure Tab, which shows your real progress.
What do you get?
Reported rewards so far, which Epic has not described in full:
- Fragment 1: 10,000 XP, as reported by guides citing the quest. Add it to your plan with the XP calculator.
- The full set: the X Marks the Zero Point Sliver Loading Screen, according to Beebom and TechWiser.
The deadline
Guides give December 5, 2026, the reported end of the mini-season, as the last day. Because the final fragment may land close to that date, collect each one soon after it arrives. Guides also say you can only collect the fragment that is live, so missing a week could leave you short near the end.
While you are out hunting, every chest you open also counts toward the Pirate Shop Token odds.
