Modes to try
The game's menu lists Quick Play on online servers, plus offline modes: Training, where you run a course and beat your best time; Skyscraper, where you snipe, build and jump; and Avoid Deny Defend, where you escape, protect and survive. The offline modes are a good place to start, because you can learn the controls without anyone shooting at you.
Why builders like it
Because the world is made of blocks, you can dig as well as build, so a wall is never the only way out. Try a Training run first, then join a server. If you would rather practise building without opponents, try Fort Builder or our build trainer.
- Set your keybinds before your first online match.
- Pick a server with plenty of players, so that matches fill quickly.
- Use offline courses to warm up.
