Fort Builder

Fort Builder

Developer: GameDistribution (distributor)Updated

Buildingbuildingsandbox3dpractice

A free-form sandbox with three structure types and a set of weapons. There is no storm or opponent pressing you, so you can take your time building whatever you want. It suits players who like the building side of Fortnite, though it is a separate game with its own controls and physics.

How to play Fort Builder

  1. Press Play and wait for the game to load. It may show the distributor's ad first.
  2. Press 5, 6 or 7 to choose a structure, then click the left mouse button to place it.
  3. Press E to cancel building, or to pick up a weapon nearby.
  4. Press 1 to 4 to switch weapons, hold the right mouse button to aim and click the left button to shoot.
  5. Press L or Esc to release the mouse cursor when you are finished.

Things to try

With no objective set for you, a small goal gives each session a point:

  • Build the tallest tower you can, then jump off it.
  • Build a wall, a ramp and a platform in a repeating order until you stop looking at the keys.
  • Build a fort, then test which weapons you find most useful against it.

Will it improve my Fortnite building?

Treat it as a relaxed warm-up rather than real practice. The keys, the structures and the physics all differ from Fortnite, so muscle memory won't transfer directly. What does carry over is the habit of thinking in sequences of structures. To practise real Fortnite building, use a Creative island: our guides explain how to find one with an island code.

Controls on different devices

The distributor's catalog lists this game as mobile-friendly, but the controls above are written for a keyboard and mouse, and a computer gives you the most precise placement. If you would rather fight than build, try Pixel Battle Royale Multiplayer.
