Fortnite eDPI Calculator

Enter your mouse DPI and in-game X sensitivity. eDPI combines them, so 400 DPI at 0.16 and 800 DPI at 0.08 turn out to be the same real sensitivity.

How to use your eDPI

eDPI is your mouse DPI multiplied by your sensitivity. Its main use is comparison: two players with different DPI can only compare settings once both are converted to one number.

It also tells you how to switch mice without losing your aim. If your new mouse has double the DPI, halve your in-game sensitivity and your eDPI stays exactly the same.

Changing sensitivity without ruining your aim

There is no correct number, so copying a professional's settings will not fix your aim on its own. Change it in small steps, play a few sessions at each step, and go back if your tracking gets worse.

A simple test: if you often overshoot targets, your eDPI is probably too high. If you run out of mouse pad during quick turns, it is probably too low.

Frequently asked questions

›What is eDPI?

Effective DPI: your mouse DPI multiplied by your in-game sensitivity. It gives you one number to compare across different setups.

›What is a good eDPI for Fortnite?

There is no single right value. It depends on your grip, your mouse pad size and what feels controlled, so use it to compare and adjust rather than as a target.

›Does this work for controllers?

No. eDPI is a mouse setting. Controller sensitivity uses separate options in the game.
