All Fortnite Sprites and Gizmos in Treasure Hunters

Updated

The 13 base Sprites listed at launch, how to get them, which are rarest and what the five Gizmos do.

What is the rarest Sprite?

Guides list Sweet Dreams and Plundarggh as the two Mythic Sprites this mini-season. Epic has not published Sprite drop rates, so nobody can honestly say which of the two is rarer.

How to get Sprites

Destructoid lists four routes:

  • Sprite Chests give a guaranteed Sprite, chosen at random.
  • Ordinary chests can contain them, without a guarantee.
  • Sprite Treasure Maps come from Wanted Posters and lead you to nearby Sprite Chests.
  • Eliminate a player carrying one.

All Sprites and abilities

Destructoid listed these at launch. Sprites can level up, and more are planned for later weeks:

  • Plundarggh: opening chests boosts pickaxe and movement speed.
  • Sweet Dreams: grants a random item drop each level, with better loot at higher levels.
  • Transponder Snail: pickups give bonus resources to you and your party.
  • Lil' Uzi Vert Jr.: shield restores trigger a Chug Splash effect.
  • Lil' Flacko: landing sends out a shockwave that knocks back enemies.
  • Kepler: restores health while in water.
  • Exmarks: reveals Wanted Posters and Treasure Maps.
  • Chester: improves the chance of extra loot from Treasure Chests and removes fall damage.
  • Lil' Squibbly: jumping into a fishing hole gives bonus loot.
  • Wayfinder: reveals nearby Sprites and gives more items from buried chests.
  • Halfpeel'd: marks all eliminations on the map.
  • Re-Pete: increases reload speed, with a chance to refund ammo.
  • Barry O'Fish: reduces stamina drain while tactical sprinting in water.

Fortune, Cursed and upcoming variants

Fortune Sprites keep their base ability and also reveal nearby chests. They appeared more often during the November 7 Treasure Hours. Cursed Sprites keep their ability and improve your chance of finding other rare Sprites, but water damages you. A Gold Sprite is listed for November 22.

What Gizmos do

Destructoid lists five Gizmos. Sprite Gizmo searches usually mean the two locators below. Epic's odds put any Gizmo at 1 in 127 per chest, and they are the one treasure you can find more than once:

  • Sprite Locator: spawns a standard Buried Chest.
  • Lucky Locator: spawns a Buried Sprite Chest with a Sprite you do not already own.
  • Portable Extractor: extracts your Sprite without reaching the main Extractor.
  • Extraction Accelerator: drops a Crate at any Extraction Site.
  • Golden Fireworks: fires a firework showing your username, then drops Sprite Dust.
